Starting off the final blog of 2020 by saying wow 2020 what a year hey?
I remember sitting in the office at the start of the year absolutely blind to what was coming at us just a mere few months later from lockdowns and endless banana bread it's been a year full of ups and downs, we know it’s been a tough year for everyone mentally, physically and in businesses across the world.
Now I don’t want this to become another COVID-19 blog as it’s been covered so much this year and continues to, so we’d just like to say thank you to all the people we have worked with this year and appreciate the trust they place in us to help with bringing their projects to life using our 3D solutions.
The teams at Vattenfall, SSE Renewables, SSEN, Blue Gem, Pivot Power, Coriolis, EDF Renewables, EDF Power, Statkraft and Orsted to name a few they have all been wonderful to work with in somewhat tricky conditions.
We have continued to be able to form new and deep collaborations across many sectors, we’ve produced visualisations for power stations, wind farms, major infrastructure schemes, we’ve also created many online virtual exhibitions to allow consultations to take place in a safe setting for all.
In 2021 we don’t see the need for virtual online content ending any time soon so will be looking to make more strides in this area in 2021 making sure people can access information easily alongside our more traditional 3D solutions.
As we look forward to the new year we also take this opportunity to look at one of the many achievements for 3DW this year and that was the launch of our new brand identity, we successfully launched a new bold and forward-thinking company brand identity with the help of the Sunny Thinking team who came on board to build us a beautiful, clean and responsive website fully optimised for mobile.
The website effectively shows off who we are as a company allowing us to be able to tell people about our core principles and keep growing the fundamentals of 3DW. We want to take this opportunity to thank Jonny and the team for their guidance and patience as the rollout took place please get in touch with them if this is something you’re thinking of doing in 2021
Josie Salmon left the team in July after many years at 3DW and it was hard for us to lose her and her fun outgoing personality from the team but we came together to give her a virtual send off and she still remains part of the 3DW family. Jordan Holland joined 3DW not long after as we had the need to increase the numbers in our team to be able to cope with the workload, Jordan settled in quickly adapting to the 3DW team in record time and it’s been great getting to know him.
As the year is drawing to a close we’ve started planning for the future and looking forward to progressing with our work striving to make 3DW better in every department. We’ll be looking forward to strengthing our connections and working together to develop more interesting and innovative solutions for major infrastructure projects across Europe and further afield.
So from the 3DW team, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year see you in 2021.
