Scottish Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) is looking to add transmission capacity in Orkney. A number of renewable energy developers have requested a connection to the electricity network through so SSEN looked at ways of doing this including the installation of new buildings and equipment.
3DW have been supporting SSEN in their planning and consultation phase of this project, we have developed a fully interactive 3D visualisation of the project that we used in a public consultation to show stakeholders the plans quickly and most importantly easily. This included a video fly-through which is accessible on the SSEN Orkney website.
